A Balanced Approach Inc specializes in early intervention of children with Autism Disorders in the Waterloo Region.
Our agency is an approved Direct Funding Option (DFO) through the Minsitry for Youth and Children Services. Both our Clinical Supervisor and our Senior Therapists have been approved by the regional Autism Intervention Service program both at the Ministry level and by the regional provider. Parents are responsible for hiring and finding their own Instructor Therapists. Our agency will assist with this process and also ensure they are trained, supervised and qualified to implement 1:1 therapy. Instructor Therapists will receive regular on-going training and supervision by both the Clinical Supervisor and your child’s Senior Therapist.
Consultative IBI (Intensive Behavioural Intervention)-based Services:
- 1:1 direct therapy
- Providing an initial ABLLS-R assessment
- Providing an individualized program to meet your child's needs
- Day care/school observations and recommendations
- Supervision of your child's program and Instructor Therapists
- Monitoring your child's progress
- Parent and Instructor Therapist training
- Review and support through the IEP process
Consultative ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis)-based Services:
- 1:1 Counselling
- 5:1 Groups targeting Aspberger's, Life Skills, Social Skills, Communication & Language
- Providing an initial ABLLS-R assessment
- Providing an individualized program to meet your child's needs
- Day care/school observations and recommendations
- Monitoring your child's progress
- Parent and Instructor Therapist training
- Review and support through the IEP process
